Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center
PROTECTING THE WILD PLACES OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND SOUTHERN OREGON
The KS Wild staff, 2026
Since our founding in 1997, the Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center (KS Wild) has grown to become a well-respected advocate for forest, waters, and wildlife in the Klamath and Rogue River basins of northwest California and southwest Oregon.
We use environmental science, law, education, collaboration and grassroots organizing to defend healthy ecosystems and help build sustainable communities in the world-renowned Klamath-Siskiyou Ecoregion.
KS Wild's Rogue Riverkeeper Program protects and restores water quality and fish populations in the Rogue River Basin and adjacent coastal watersheds
through enforcement, advocacy, field work and community action. Our goal is to protect roadless areas, old-growth forests, water quality, fish and wildlife habitat from unsustainable resource extraction and pollution and to restore those areas that have been impaired by more than a century of mismanagement.
From our humble, volunteer-led beginnings working out of a home in Williams, Oregon, we have grown to a staff of nine who serve as leaders in conservation efforts across the region. Our merger with the Siskiyou Project, a 23-year veteran of southern Oregon conservation advocacy, has increased both our apacity and focus on the Siskiyou Wild Rivers area.
Visit the KS Wild website or the Rogue Riverkeeper website for more information, updates, and upcoming events.
Our work to defend our shared public lands is funded by folks like you.
If you enjoyed tonight’s festival and are feeling inspired to support the protection of your favorite corners of your public lands, consider making a donation to KS Wild and Rogue Riverkeeper. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on our community to keep our fight strong—for us all.
Your donation is tax-deductible. Make a donation of up to $300 and write it off on your 2026 taxes!
